Originally assembled at the Brisbane Ford Plant, this unrestored 1971 XY Fairmont has survived over 50 years without being molested and turned into a GT Replica. Still running the all matching numbers 250 2V 170Hp 6 Cylinder engine and 3 speed T-Bar automatic gearbox, this Fairmont is in very good condition and is still wearing some of its original factory applied Nugget Gold acrylic paint, original engine bay, door jams with a renewed Beige vinyl roof.

Under the bonnet is also unrestored and although there are the tell tale signs of a battery explosion long ago, the engine bay presents very well and features the very healthy factory 250 2V motor, original rocker cover and air cleaner assembly plus dealer fitted working air-conditioning.

The owner has recently fully serviced the XY with new plugs, points, oils and filters plus a tune.

The interior is also mostly original with original trim, door cards, carpets, dash, steering wheel and crashpad. The Superfringe radio is missing but everything else is there and works perfectly.

The current owner purchased the XY from the original owner and the XY now shows 109,940 miles on the clock believed to be original.

The boot has been rust proofed and all sils have been fish oiled from new resulting in a rust free survivor that can be enjoyed as is into the foreseeable future.

The suspension and the brakes are all in good order and the car drives and handles perfectly.

Riding on new 15" Bathurst Globes with brand new Red Wall tyres plus a spare and new boot mat.

Currently on full NSW registration until April, 2024.
