1971 Ford Falcon XY GT - Ultra White
Rare to find unrestored Survivor XY GT Falcon in Ultra White with log books and full service history now for sale. Located in our Sydney Showroom.
This must have been a dream come true. In the small country town of Cowra, NSW a well known farmer took delivery of this stunning Ultra White XY GT Falcon on the 11th of March, 1971. The family are still on the land in Cowra and fondly remember this very special purchase by their father. Owned by the family until they outgrew the sedan and required a more practical Falcon Station Wagon, the GT is now in the hands of the fourth enthusiast custodian. This car presents very close to the day it was delivered in immaculate original maintained condition throughout. This is a true Survivor XY GT Falcon! Unbelievable unrestored condition in spectacular Ultra White paint with the Gold Super Roo stripes and day one genuine and gorgeous Saddle trim. This car is as close to the way that Ford manufactured the GT Falcons in 1971 as is possible. A beautifully maintained car that has been loved and cherished all it's life.
This special XY GT was originally sold through Cowra Motors at Kendall Street, Cowra, NSW and has obviously led a charmed life with the original interior reflecting the very limited use the car has had over the years. With a genuine documented 71,181 miles on the clock, the XY GT is an excellent rust and damage free example of the GT Falcon. Running the original 351 Cleveland 4V engine, 4 speed Top Loader gearbox and factory 9" diff, this GT has been beautifully maintained and still features the original Bakerlite fan shroud, Autolite Carby with tag, Shaker flap, battery terminals and date correct horns.
The interior is spectacular in day one condition with original perfect Saddle seat coverings, original carpets, perfect door cards, crash pad, dash, working remote RHS mirror and original hood lining. As you would expect, the car comes with the original log books, owners manuals and two sets of original keys. It has an original dealer sticker fitted to the rear window glass and comes with both a Ford and ACCHS verification letter. The GT is fitted with a working 1971 8 Track Radio/Stereo player and comes with a couple of period correct 8 tracks to take you back to the 70's.
The GT has been repainted on the exterior, in the engine bay due to a battery explosion and also in the boot with original paint in the door jambs. There are factory markings around the car and the compliance plate has never been removed.
The underside of the car is also extremely clean and features the correct tailshaft markings as well as the original green shock absorbers. Open the boot and you have a new rubber boot mat plus a 5 slot spare and original tools and jack bag.
The GT is riding on brand new Aquatread ER70 Red Wall tyres, the original 5 slots rims with dress rims and caps.
This is a super rare and extremely precious survivor XY GT ready for the most pedantic GT collector. Without doubt one of the best and classiest looking XY GT Falcons we have come across.
