1970 Ford Falcon XW GTHO Phase 2 ... (SOLD)

1970 XW GTHO Phase 2 in stunning Brambles Red with Black trim. Located in Adelaide, SA.

Believed to have been re-shelled many years ago into a genuine 1970 Falcon body. Rare and desirable GTHO with all original running gear including matching numbers D block solid 351 4V Cleveland, factory AS1 close ratio long shaft top loader 4 speed gearbox, Ph.2 HO tailshaft and 31 spline 3.5:1 9" LSD.

This early build Phase 2 features the original matching numbers engine noted in the accompanying FORD letter as being the first Phase 2 HO engine built by Ford and fitted to a Phase 2 GTHO Falcon. The engine was rebuilt in 2020 with Ph.2 spec cam, solid lifters, correct HO rocker gear, correct 4V cast iron manifolds and correct 750 CFM Holley carby. There is a genuine NOS Lockheed slave cylinder, new clutch and gearbox bearings, new brakes, calipers, shoes, linings, hoses with riveted ball joints and original tie rod ends plus genuine Ford 18045 A1 green shockers all round.

Excellent rust and damage free body. Perfect original genuine black trim and console with mint dash and original crash pad, instruments and steering wheel. Showing 88,484 miles, the GTHO features a new 36 gallon fuel tank, correct spare wheel tie down and fuel line breather hose. Its even got the correct 1-105274 Hella driving lights and Lucas headlights.

Riding on genuine 9MH riveted 5 slots on new red walled tyres plus a genuine Aquajet and 5 slot spare and all tools in excellent condition.

Looks and drives the part with that great sounding solid engine and wonderful Phase 2 exhaust note. Crank over the Clevo and hit the road and all your worries are behind you. This HO must be driven not hidden!
