1970 XW Ford Falcon Ute - 302 V8 4 speed
For sale is a true barn find ... as in a Falcon Ute that's spent lots of its life in and around the barn. And we doubt you'll find a more original unmolested and attractive factory V8 Falcon ute to match this one. For sale at our Sydney Showroom.
Originally sold new to a farmer - a Mr. N.A. Winters of Mayfield, Condobolin in country NSW on 29/9/1970 by selling dealer J.R Sealey also of Condoblin, NSW, this rare Electric Blue XW Falcon Ute was factory ordered with the "Y" code 302 Windsor V8, Top loader 4 speed manual gearbox, bucket seats and Superfringe radio.
The XW Falcon was owned by the original farmer owner until 1973 and then sold to the second owner from Cesnock, NSW who used the car as his work ute. The second owner held this special Falcon ute for 44 years! Resprayed during the second owners custodianship, the Ute presents in excellent condition with a rust and damage free dry body. A very honest example, the Falcon features the original interior with original dash, gauges, steering wheel, door cards and hood lining with a retrim to the seats in original black trim and new carpeting. The original Superfringe radio is also still in place and the car is fitted with a manual choke.
The engine bay is incredibly original with the matching numbers 302 V8 Windsor still purring away, the original air cleaner in place with original yellow topped coil, factory stamped rocker covers, engine tag, fan shroud and aftermarket extractors through to a nice dual exhaust system.
As befits a true survivor car, the XW Falcon is supplied with the original owners log books, manuals and a 1973 NSW registration letter showing the original owners details and the original number plates for the car being BBS-761. With 3 owners from new and full history known this is certainly a rare find. Showing 55,337 miles believed to be 155,337, the ute was last registered in 1993. The Ute also features good chrome and glass and rides on widened 12 slot rims with older tyres.
Enjoy this rare Falcon Ute as is or add a GS dash, steering wheel and GS side stripes to suit your taste. Either way, this is certainly a killer combo ute!
