One of only 154 genuine Track Red XY GT Falcons ever built. A one-off highly optioned GT presented in one of the most sought after colour combinations, this all matching numbers factory manual XY GT is now for sale from our Sydney Showroom.

Here is an unique opportunity to secure one of the most iconic Australian Muscle cars. The XY GT Falcon. No other Australian muscle car ever left the factory with a working shaker attached to the top of the engine designed to breath cool air into the carburettor. Or sported extroverted Superroo side stripes, bonnet black outs and plenty of attitude. And to think, these cars were bought by Mums and Dads as family sedans. Pretty cool indeed. And in Track Red paint with Gold GT Superroo stripes down the side, this is one head turning unit.

Purchased on the 5th of January, 1971 from Kloster Ford in Newcastle this ONE-OF-ONE built XY GT is factory optioned with some very desirable options including Option 64, the 36 gallon long range fuel tank and Option 72, the very expensive 8 Track Radio/Stereo Tape Player. Obviously the original owner was setting this GT up for some long distance cruising with 164 litres of fuel on board and plenty of good music if he ever got tired of that wonderous exhaust note out the back.

Purchased by the current owner in 2010 from AMCS, the GT has had a full restoration in the early 2000s. This GT still proudly runs the original matching numbers 351 4V Cleveland, the factory 4 speed Top Loader gearbox and 9" LSD diff. All numbers are 100% day one correct with day one radiator support, shock tower, engine number and compliance plate. Repainted in factory Track Red using 2 Pack paint, the GT still presents in excellent condition. The GT retains the original rim blow steering wheel, dash with new carpets and hood lining and has covered a genuine 138,606 miles from new.

The GT is riding on '72 Bathurst Globe wheels with Red Wall tyres plus a 5 slot spare in the boot secured by the factory tie down. The GT is also fitted with Phase 3 front bib spoiler, Phase 3 style Vacuum Tank, rear venetian blind, bumper over riders, dual sports tear drop mirrors and working 8 Track Stereo.

The GT also comes with an ACCHS report verifying the rarity of this One-off XY GT Falcon. A really good solid and 100% genuine matching numbers GT in a killer colour combo. Come and take a closer look at this rare Track Red GT.

Sold with full NSW registration and personalised 351-ROB plates if required. In our Sydney Showroom for your private inspection. (Ref. 6334)

And if you like AMCS will gladly arrange a video inspection/road test of the car using WhatsApp and of course there is no issue with door to door freight delivery anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
