1967 Holden HR Special - Restomod
Here is something a bit different. If you are looking for the classic look of the HR Holden Special but want modern car drivability then this FULLY ENGINEERED 1967 HR Holden Special Restomod might be just the ticket.
The HR Special is running a nicely sorted 253 V8 with Holley carby , Edelbrock manifold, extractors, Trimatic auto with B&M shifter and VR Commodore diff. The Restomod modifications go further to include VR disc brakes, calipers and hand brake. The original brackets and spring mounts have been installed to the differential housing and the tail shaft is a Holden V8 unit which has been modified to suit. The speedometer has also been recalibrated.
A Holden VR twin circuit master cylinder has been fitted and connected to the HR pedal box assembly. The front cross member is a CRS modified unit with strengthened wish bones and after market uprights. A modified Holden VR collapsible steering column with matching steering shafts and universal joints have been installed to operate a Holden VB Commodore steering rack.
The interior has been fully re-trimmed and is super glamourous in red with new retractable seat belts, recalibrated gauges, sports steering wheel and Monster tacho.
The entire car has been wrapped in a 3M 2080 film to protect the paintwork and there is no rust or paint chips.
The HR is riding on 15 inch Police chaser rims with good tyres. The HR comes with Engineers Certificate, Victorian Mod Plate and a period owners manual.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
