Sensational day one survivor HR Holden now for sale. Located in our Sydney Showroom.

Time capsule HR Holden 161 in absolutely day one unrestored rust free condition with only 67,200 miles on the clock since 1966. In spectacular condition, this HR features the all original Clinton Sand paint, unbelievable Copra dawn interior trim, unmarked floor covering, perfect dash, steering wheel, chrome and glass. A standout example of one of the most loved Holden models, this is an honest, well loved and preserved HR that is hard to fault.

In fact, 252,352 HR Holdens were sold and the model still retains an enviable place in the memories of many Aussies. Part of a serious private car collection, this HR features the original glass, door rubbers, boot matt, spare and tools. There is even a can of Holden brake fluid included. The chrome is in excellent original condition. This really is a very rare and well preserved Holden!

Mechanically the car drives as new with the all original 161 6 cylinder engine purring along and the 2 speed Powerglide swapping gears perfectly. A two owner car, the car was converted from a 3 speed manual in the 1990s on Sydney's Northern beaches so that the original owner could continue driving the car to the bowling club well into his 80s. There are no rattles or oil leaks and the car has had a full service including a brake overhaul.

The car still retains the original battery terminals, radiator cap, overflow bottle etc.
All chrome, panel and glass are day 1. Everything works as it should. Crank it over and it runs like a gem.

The car comes with a set of original keys plus a dealer folder and owners manual, McGraths of Liverpool rear window sticker and last NSW rego sticker. The car is the Standard model so there is no heater, no heater demister, no cigarette lighter and no drivers side door lock. The Standard was fitted with a road map parcel tray under the dash on the passengers side.

Slide into the drivers seat and transport yourself back in time. A must have for the serious Holden or classic car collection.

The HR still wears the original number plates EGM-847 with the original number plates frames. Located in our Sydney Showroom. (AMCS Ref: 5913)

And if you like, AMCS will gladly arrange a video inspection/road test of the car using WhatsApp and of course there is no issue with door to door transport anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
