Immaculate 1966 Shelby GT350 Replica now for sale. Located in our Mortdale, Sydney Showroom for inspection.
The car has been built from a very nice '65 Fastback body some years ago, and presents superbly in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue stripes done to original GT350 Shelby specifications.
Mechanically this Shelby is powered by a 302ci Windsor V8 recently refreshed by Kanaris Race Engines of Melbourne with aluminium heads, Edelbrock Performer aluminium intake, Marshal hydraulic cam, 600 cfm Holley and electronic ignition. Believed to be turning around 350 flywheel hp.
Breathing through correct Shelby style Tri-Y headers, and nice 2 1/4" dual system with Gibson mufflers. Engine also features a correct large pulley alternator, and is dressed with correct Shelby rocker covers and finned alloy sump. Cooling is managed by a correct radiator, cowl and Hi-Po engine fan. The engine bay also features the correct export brace and plenum support.
Gearbox is a factory close ration Top Loader 4 speed manual, with original Ford shifter in excellent condition, running through to a 28 spline 3.5:1 Detroit Locker 9 inch diff located by correct Shelby Traction Masters underide bars.
The car was restored in the USA in 1999 and imported in to Australia around 2005. The paint and body still presents superbly, this car was done right. Pictures of body prep during resto are available.
The car features the classic '65 GT350R front apron and bumper with accompanying bonnet in fiberglass with fully functional hood scoop. The body also features correct functioning rear brake scoops and ducts, and the iconic '66 rear quarter windows show the detail put into this car at the time. All chrome and stainless trims appear authentic and in excellent condition.
Inside is an excellent correct black interior, an original Ford wood grain steering wheel and centre cap, correct Shelby style 9000rpm dash mounted tacho with a healthy 6250rpm redline, and the seat belts are correct Shelby lap style with quick release buckles. The rear seat is a fold down style lined with unmolested rear plastics.
Suspension feels as new with genuine Koni adjustable shocks front and rear. Front brakes are Kelsey Hayes 4 piston calipers and discs with correct KH master cylinder. Wheels are 15" Magnum 500s with 7" fronts and 8" rears.
This is a very nice Shelby tribute built some years ago, the quality has stood the test of time, and the car remains an excellent example of a quality build. The car has had several Australian owners and has been with the most recent owner for around 7 years. The documentation is substantial and includes the original title doc from Oklahoma, USA in 1998.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
