1958 FC Holden Special ... (SOLD)

Here is a very special opportunity to purchase a two owner totally original and unmolested FC Holden Special sedan. The current and second owner of this ultra special FC time warp Holden purchased the car in 1969 from the original owner in Granville, NSW. And it still wears the front windscreen sticker from Granville TAFE where the original owner had been a teacher.

A super popular model with 191,724 FC Holdens built, this Special is as near to how it would have come from the dealership when new as possible. All original except for an external repaint in acrylic in the original Adobe Beige/Olinda Green in the mid 1970s, the FC Holden Special is still in near showroom condition throughout.

The engine bay, interior and boot are all day one. The FC is running the all matching numbers 132 cui grey motor with 3 speed column manual on the tree. The car is fitted with rare NASCO accessories including the Ferris push button radio, reversing lights and badged grill. The car features the immaculate original steering wheel, venetian blinds and factory sun visor. The FC also features the original vinyl floor covering with the green fleck in the rubber matching the original two tone colour as featured on the roof and boot.

There is a huge receipt file, registration papers plus the last rego paper in 1985 including the sticker on the quarter glass. The car has been up on blocks since 1985 and has just been recommissioned by the owner of 52 years. The engine bay is totally original. The 132 Grey motor's compression is perfect and the owner has recently fitted new welsh plugs and the head has been serviced. The owner has recently had the brake cylinders stainless sleeved, the original drums machined, stainless sleeves fitted to the wheel cylinders and a new clutch master cylinder fitted. The car has also had the original radiator re-cored.

The Danube Green & Black interior is all original from the floor covering to the hood lining. All gauges work perfectly, as does the valve radio. The car has covered a genuine documented 58,866 miles from new.

Open the boot and there is an original spare with excellent tyre, original jack and tools plus the original boot mat.
