Cams log booked HDT built VK Group A race car. Originally built in 1985. Updated in 1986 to full Group A spec. Raced full 1986 touring car championship sponsored by Bob Jane T Mart and prepared by Stone Bros. racing. Carried Ch. 7 camera. Original paint and sign writing from 1986. Full mechanical restoration by Marty Brant at Independent Race Cars. A significant VK Group A race car. Eligible for Group A/Group C historics.
Price: $ SOLD Race History: HDT built VK Group A race car. Originally built in 1985 for Ray Smith. Ran in Bathurst in Black and Gold livery, qualified 14th at Bathurst 1985. 1986 raced by Graeme Crosby, updated to full Group A spec by HDT and raced the full touring car championship sponsored by Bob Jane T Mart. The car was prepared by Stone Brothers racing. Carried Ch. 7 camera. Mechanical specifictions: Full mechanical restoration by Marty Brant at Independent Race Cars. ie: Autobarn Racing Steve Owen. Starting at the front of the car the K Frame and complete front end was rebuilt including all new aviation grade rose joints. All brakes front and rear including brake lines are brand new, all shockers rebuilt and revalved by Bilstein new springs all round. The engine is a brand new Lez Small 308 built to group A spec ie:420hp and is yet to be dynoed, Gearbox is Perkins rebuilt holinger gearset Getrag five speed and also has not yet seen a lap in anger, Diff and axles were stripped new axles and complete diff assembled. Fuel system was completly replaced including new fuel bladder and tank from America all fuel lines filters etc are O klms. The wiring loom is also all brand new all guages have been tested. The car comes as it ran and raced at Bathurst in 1986, a certificate of description is yet to be issued but can be organised. Documentation: Original Log Book Number as well as current Cams log book which clearly shows all previous owners. Numerous early 1980s race magazines with heaps of articles on Graeme Crosby and the car, these books have all his race results times atc. Several motoring yearbooks and Bathurst programs photos etc. All in car video footage from channel 7 for the intire 85/85 touring car season clearly showing interior etc 1985/1986 full bathurst race tapes featuring the car as well as the top ten shootout featuring Crosby. All books and tapes will go with the car. Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
