Built specifically to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the touring car race at Bathurst in 2012, this limited edition one of 50 built 2012 HSV VE Walkinshaw Clubsport R8 Build No. 1777 is now for sale.
Limited Edition Bathurst Build number 25/50 is presented in Phantom black in stunning condition throughout with two owners from new and only 31,000 klms on the clock. With full HSV documentation, log books and all HSV and Walkinshaw paperwork including authenticity certificate and receipts for a recent forged engine rebuild that only add to the excitement already built into this special HSV R8.
Walkinshaw Performance offered the Bathurst 50th Anniversary pack as a $22,000 added cost to the R8. The Walkinshaw kit comes with a cat back exhaust, WP230 supercharger, leather interior with Walkinshaw embroidery and special badges to show that it's a genuine Limited-Edition Bathurst build.
In addition, the current owner has added a specially made cam to suit the supercharged engine, a methanol injection kit that kicks in at higher revs, a specialty made belt (fatter and thicker to handle the twist, torque and raw power), smaller pullies to increase the off-line boost and kilowatts and create a thunderous exhaust note! A stall converter has been added and an unique sticker celebrating the Bathurst build has been fitted - unique to this car alone. The car has been de-badged and only the HSV badges and the supercharged badge have been retained. (Everything taken off will come with the car.)
The car has been dyno tuned at 450 kw at the wheels and that was before the recent engine rebuild. So once run in it can only go harder.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
