From the minute you lay your eyes on this stunning Sting Red beast you'll understand that this special HSV has always been cared for by an enthusiast HSV collector. Originally won in a raffle by a Ms. Robin MacDonald, the car was then purchased with 80 kilometres on the clock from Smiths of Geelong in 2007 by the current long term owner. He put 1,100 kilometres on the car driving it back to Sydney and has since used the car sparingly appreciating the significance of this special GTS as Build No. 1. The car is as you can image in close to brand new condition throughout.

At its heart is the factory all matching numbers all aluminium LS2 V8 displacing 6.0 litres and cranking out a beefy 307kW/550Nm output. According to HSV, the GTS could go from 0-100km/h in less than 5.0 seconds and the whole package is underpinned by a gorgeous throaty V8 rumble bellowing from the quad exhaust outlets.

Build No. 1 is equipped with the HSV calibrated heavy duty six speed automatic that offers sequential change mode and adaptive operation.

The GTS rolls on massive 20" wheels and is still fitted with the original factory supplied super low profile 35 and 30 aspect tyres front and rear, adaptive suspension and factory AP Racing discs clamped by quad piston calipers all round.

The car is as brand new on the inside as well. There is no wear and tear at all with the beautiful black leather and Alcantara trim, HSV floor matts, the signature three dial pod on the centre console and the flat bottom multiple function steering wheel. The car is also fitted with the factory premium stereo system with 11 speakers, plus iPod and Bluetooth connections.

The engine bay and undercarriage are in perfect showroom condition with all factory paint dabs, markings, compliance plates and stickers all in their place.

In the boot is the unused full size spare, factory tools and boot carpet. The owner has added weather shields and a bonnet protector when he collected the car in Geelong in 2007.

HSV have endowed the VE GTS with sensational styling with body add-ons totally transforming the Commodore into something closer to a HSV race-car with a huge rear splitter under the bumper, V8 Supercar style rear wing, massive front vents and those gorgeous 20" wheels.

HSV certainly did build excitement into these cars and this has got to be the pick as one of the most desirable HSVs to add to your collection. The GTS was originally sold through Smiths of Geelong and comes with the HSV Compendium, log books and manuals, two sets of keys and remotes, touch up paint and full ownership and service history.
