For sale is a stunning 2006 HSV VZ Maloo R8 Build No. 599 presented in Quicksilver from our Sydney Showroom.

The HSV Maloo R8 is about as far removed from the idea of a work ute as possible, who would dare tread dirty work boots through this sumptuous car! And yet the Maloo has found a sweet spot here in Australia where it is revered as a very personal quintessentially Australian beast of a car.

Start her up and the initial bark of the big V8 settles into a throbbing 800 rpm idle... What makes the VZ HSV V8 most desireable is the upgrade to the 6.0L LS2 over the previous 5.7L LS1. At HSV they went one better increasing the Clubsport and Maloo's power to 297kW over the quoted 260 kW in the Holden SS's. A light squeeze of the throttle and the Maloo R8 simply surges forward!

Also making the VZ Series particularly desirable was the longer wheelbase and lighter kerb weight than its eventual successor, the VE Series. Hence you understand why the VZ Maloo holds a sweet spot with Aussie muscle car enthusiasts as a very trick mode of 'tradie' transport.

Originally sold through Preston Motors Holden, located in Essendon Vic, this car has been meticulously maintained and is presented in immaculate Quicksilver with Black leather / velour trim. Featuring the sought after 6 speed manual gearbox, build no. 0599 has covered a genuine low 51,082 km from new and comes with all the owners log books, manuals and two sets of keys.

Standard equipment includes the amazing looking 19" 5 x twin spoke alloy wheels and Sport Touring suspension. The Maloo is riding on Maxxis 245/35R19 all round, and the original spare is still in place. The included hard tonneau and tow bar were optioned by the owner on purchase.

Build No. 599/958 presents in totally unmolested original condition and has been proudly owned, enjoyed and preserved by a true enthusiast.
