2001 Mazda RX-7 Type RZ

SOLD  $90,000
Super rare, 2001 Mazda RX-7 RZ, one of only 175 built world-wide, now for sale at AMCS.

The very limited edition Type RZ version included all the features of the Type RS, but at a lighter weight of 1,270 kg. Power from the twin turbo 13B Rotary was increased with the addition of a less restrictive muffler and more efficient turbochargers which featured abrade-able compressor seals, producing 206 kW at 6500 rpm and 314 N/m of torque at 5000 rpm as per the maximum Japanese limit.

The car also featured a factory brake upgrade by increasing rotor diameter front and rear to 314 mm and front rotor thickness from 22 mm to 32 mm. The RZ version also sported a 4.30 final drive ratio, providing a significant reduction in its 0–100 km/h time. The gearbox was also modified, with the 5th gear made longer to reduce cruising rpm and improve fuel efficiency.

The RZ featured gun-metal coloured BBS wheels and a stunning racing themed red carbon Recaro interior. An improved ABS system worked by braking differently on each wheel, allowing the car better turning during braking. The effective result made for safer driving for the average buyer.

For sale is this stunning Pearl white RX-7 RZ. The car was imported to Australia and complied in 2010 and is showing 61,404 kilometres from new. Verification papers from Japan are included as are the Australian import papers. This is certainly a Japanese super car with amazing timeless styling, comfort and tons of power and handling abilities.

Terms of sale

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
