The mighty Monaro CV8. A legend in its own lifetime and certainly a classic that will only appreciate in value into the future. This special CV8 is in Red Hot with Anthracite leather trim. The original owner took the lead from the Holden ad campaign and dubbed this car - Game Over. But we think you'll agree, the Game is no where near over. In fact, for one lucky buyer the Game is just about to begin.
This is a car that you just have to drive. With over $100,000 spent on the build this tastefully modded CV8 has it's factory 5.7L LS1 V8 and 6 speed manual gearbox enhanced and now produces 277rwkw. This has been achieved by the fitting of a head and cam package, heavy duty valve springs, a powerband balancer, double row timing chain, throttle body, Mafless tune, a Di Fillipo 4 into 1 exhaust with high flow cats and a full 2.5" twin system.
The M6 gearbox has a short shifter and the factory clutch has been replaced with a steel flywheel and the latest 400kW rated Spec dual friction clutch combo and the diff is 3.9:1 ratio. Braking is through Harrop Monster brakes on the front and standard rears. The FE2 suspension has been lowered and the car is riding on ROH Fury 19x8" with excellent rubber.
The interior and boot are custom trimmed in leather and with engraved mirrors and a Clarion DVD, CD, MP3 TV tuner with Phoenix Gold amps, speaker and subwoofer to keep you entertained when you decide not to listen to the wonderful burble of the V8.
At the LS1 Nationals the car achieved a 13.3 second quarter mile at 111 MPH. And the awards have come thick and fast with Best Modified Monaro at the 2004 Monaro Nationals, Best engine bay, Best stereo, Small Block Horsepower and Top 60 at Summernats. Complete with log books, owners manuals, 49,000 klms from new, 2 sets of keys and receipts for work completed.
Currently owned by a Holden collector, Game Over might just be the tonic you need for a life style Game Changer. Come and check this beauty out in our Kingsgrove, Sydney showroom. (Ref. 5279)
