Powered by the last of the Aussie Holden V8 engines, the stroker 5.7 litre V8 delivers 220kW of power and 475Nm of torque. This GTS features the sought after GTS only spec 6 speed Borg Warner T56 gearbox and huge 330mm 4 piston Harrop brakes. Delivered new to New Zealand, the car has been beautifully looked after and is totally unmolested and presented in as per factory specifications.
The VT GTS Series 1 was the fastest production car ever produced by Holden/HSV when released and was capable of 0 – 100km/h in under 6 seconds and a top speed of more than 257km/h (160mph) putting the GTS in a league of it’s own in the '97-'99 era. Stroking for HSV was achieved with the use of a Harrop crank, A9L rods, ACL dished pistons and larger injectors.
Only 399 GTS sedans were built between 1997 and 1999, 136 autos and 263 manuals. GTS #394 comes with the original log books and manuals, the original HSV gift items in the centre consol, the original spare tyre and tools.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
