Bought 8 years ago as a stock HSV VS Clubsport with 165,000 klms on the clock, the current owner decided to rectify a rear main seal leak and the project got a little out of hand. The VS Clubsport now runs a Supercharged 558 Hp V8 built by well known supercharger specialist engine builder Marks Workshop. All works have been engineered and approved by WA roads and the car is full WA registered. The HSV is now for sale from Perth, WA.

With in excess of $75,000 invested into this stunning Panther Mica HSV VS Clubsport and less than 10,000 klms driven since the full rebuild, the owner has decided on his next project and this special HSV is for sale.

All mechanical works were completed by Marks Workshop Stroker Performance Engines and come with receipts for all works. There is also a engineering approval from WA roads. The matching numbers 185kW Holden 5 litre V8 has been rebuilt with a Yella Terra 2.4 Whipple Intercooled Supercharger with custom 4" air intake and 90mm throttle body. Engine internals include a Scat Stroker Crankshaft, Scat 4340 H Beam Conrods, SRP Pistons and Steel Ring set, ACL race engine bearings, ARP studs, Cometic SS MLS head gaskets, Camtech Performance Camshaft, Lifters and Valve springs, High volume oil pump, a Dual Row timing chain set and a Powerbond billet steel centre harmonic balancer. Ignition is via a MSD 6AL ignition with MSD Blaster Coil and a Hi Torque starter motor.

Gears are swapped via a reconditioned T56 6 speed manual gearbox with new synchros, input shaft and a large single plate hydraulic clutch system. The shifter is a Short Throw gearstick. At the rear is a Tru Trac LSD diff centre with 3.9 ratio diff gears. The tailshaft has been reconditioned and balanced with new centre bearings, new CV joints and new rear Universal joints.

The fuel pump is mounted in boot with a large swirl pot with rubber bonded mounts, 044 Bosch fuel pump, Fuelab fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge, Speedflow fittings and braided hoses.

The exhaust system is comprised of a ceramic coated Pacemaker 1 3/4" (silver) headers with high flow catalytic converters through to a full stainless steel Mandril bent 2 1/2" twin system.

Brakes are Wilwood in black with 6 Piston front and 4 Piston rear brakes, VT rear backing plates (needed to make Wilwood handbrake setup work) and new rear wheel bearings. The HSV runs stock front suspension and Bilstein rear shock absorbers with heavy duty Bilstein springs. The Clubby is riding on 245/30/ZR20 Achilles rubber with 20" Simmons mag wheels and another set of brand new HSV 3 spoke 20" alloy rims are included with the sale.

In addition, a larger aluminium radiator with thermo fans was fitted, the power steering rack was reconditioned in 2021 and new engine mounts fitted.

In 2022, the Clubsport was treated to a closed door respray. The front and rear windows were removed and new weather seals installed and a new windscreen fitted. The C pillar and window trims were all reconditioned and a new leather gear knob installed. The remainder of the interior is in excellent condition with no burn marks. The HSV comes with a custom car cover.

The owner has successfully maintained the stock looks of the HSV Clubsport while greatly enhancing the power output to 416kW, adding a more modern and versatile 6 speed manual gearbox and greatly enhancing the braking and handling abilities of this HSV.
