1992 VP SS Commodore 5L V8 - Supercharged
For sale from Perth, WA a 1992 Holden VP SS Commodore running the matching numbers 5 Litre V8 with a Whipple Supercharger dynoed at 390 RwHp.
The first SS Commodore appeared with the VH model and formed the base upon which HDT and then HSV built their range of improved and modified special vehicles.
For sale is an Alaskan White VP SS Commodore sold originally in Geraldton, WA and used as a daily driver until 5 years ago when purchased by the current owner. The owner wanted to enhance the drivability of the SS increasing the power of the standard 165kW V8 and improving the handling and braking of the SS. He has added a 2.4L intercooled Whipple Supercharger bolted onto the top of the matching numbers 5 Litre V8. All original engine parts are included with the sale. The owner also added Pacemaker extractors and a full stainless 2.5" Hurricane exhaust system. Gears are changed via the original T-700 4 speed gearbox rebuilt at a cost of over $5,500 with 4L65 components similar to that found in VZ HSV GTO/GTS Monaro.
The brakes have been upgraded to Hopper Stoppers on the front with 330mm rotors requiring the fitment of the 20" gold FR1 Simmons wheels with Achilles 225x30x20 and rear 245x30x20.
There is a receipt file for over $30,000 spent on the upgrades to the engine, gearbox and braking system.
The exterior of the VP has had some paint on the front bar, bonnet and front quarter panels with the rest of the car in excellent original condition. All stripes and SS decals are original to the car. All glass is in excellent condition with a legal tint fitted. The interior is in immaculate condition and totally original and comes with the original radio as well. The car has recently had a new accumulator fitted and the A/C is ice cold. The SS has covered 252,483 Klms from new with less than 3,500 Klms covered since the rebuild.
Included in the sale are all the original engine bay parts including the exhaust manifold, engine covers, air intake box as well as the original boot spoiler.
Full WA registration until 19th June, 2023. VPSS92 custom plates will be included for a WA buyer.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
