Amazing survivor example 1990 VN Calais 5 litre built 3rd February 1990 at the Adelaide plant. Factory 5.0L V8 4 speed auto in its original Phoenix Red with rare factory Howe leather option.
Also factory delivered with the country pack option which includes the 85L long range fuel tank, front under car skid plate and heavy duty springs (build sheet included in the photos).
Bought new from Ron Poyser Holden in Bendigo, Victoria, the Calais was a special order according to the previous owner. The original elderly owner passed and the car was kept in the owner's shed for a number of years before being sold to a local who owned a Museum. The VN was on display there between 2015 and 2019.
The 3rd owner was looking for a good clean car to potentially modify, however he couldn't bring himself to modify the car's originality so he then sold it to the current owner.
The car has full log books, 2 sets of keys and remotes and full service history. The Calais has travelled 132,713km and has not been painted or restored in any way and is very much in the same condition as it was when it rolled off the production line 31 years ago.
The interior features the optional Howe leather trim which was an expensive optional extra for the day. The car also features factory freezing cold Air Conditioning and the factory Eurovox quadrophonic sound system. All instrumentation works as does cruise control and the electric aerial. There is no wear showing anywhere - to the steering wheel, the driver's seat bolster and the carpets are all as new.
Some standout features of this Calais are:
* The Spare wheel has never been on the car and still harbours the original tyre - you can tell this by the factory colour markings still being present on the tread
* The cigarette lighter and all ashtrays have never been used
* The centre rear seat belt according to previous owners apparently has never been unfurled since the day it left the factory
* The car has never been painted and all plastics, trims and carpets are in amazing condition
* The car has one minor blemish the original owner has touched up on the right hand rear part of the rear bumper
* The car has full service history from selling dealer Ron Poyser Holden
* All accessories, door locks, boot release and electric aerial work
The car even still features the original exhaust system. This would have to be one of the best un-restored VN Calais's in the country. Worthy of the closest inspection.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
