1984 HDT WB Statesman Magnum DeVille Build No. 1342
Proudly presented for sale is this ONE-OFF 1984 WB Statesman DeVille Magnum in Maranello Red, located in Perth, WA.
Believed to be one of only two Maranello Red Magnums built by HDT of approximately 120 Statesman Magnums built in total!
Big, bold and purely Australian, the WB Statesman received a touch of Peter Brock's magic to make the Lion’s luxo cruiser into an executive high performance grand tourer. Peter Brock's HDT customised the big Statesman for owners with deep pockets building the Magnum with a myriad of HDT performance and cosmetic upgrades.
The “HDT Magnum Pack” offered Group 3 specs including a Blueprinted High-Output 5.0 Litre engine with a Bathurst SS inlet manifold, high capacity air cleaner and cold air intake, blueprinted ignition system and heat-proofed headers, Heavy duty rear axle with a LSD, Bilstein shock absorbers and HDT stabilisers, lowered HDT springs, disc brakes and a Heavy Duty brake master cylinder, chrome rocker covers, a huge range of HDT and Momo alloy wheels to choose from, Peter Brock Momo leather steering wheel, Black chrome exterior trim, headlight flush-fit kit, colour coded bumpers and more.
It's pretty accurate to say that no two Brock Magnum’s were alike with Brock and HDT building these special luxury cruisers to suit the individual tastes and pockets of their customers.
After a factory test at Calder with Brockie at the wheel, it was found that the big Magnum was only 2-3 seconds behind his Commodore with a hugely enthused Brock famously sayings “the Magnum, its a weapon…”.
The exceptionally rare find offered here for sale is a stunning Statesman Magnum finished in Maranello Red with Sienna Chevron trim. Originally ordered through Don Clare Motors, Moruya, NSW the Magnum was ordered by Batemans Bay Holdings P/L with the options of Long Range Fuel tank, Blue Printed Carburettor, Radio Key Burglar Alarm and Window Tinting.
