1979 VB Holden Commodore SL 4.2L V8
The humble VB Holden Commodore SL. The original Commodore and certainly an important car in GMH's history of Aussie built motor cars. A car that is also equally important to each and every one of us who grew up on the back seat of a Commodore as their family's car. Driven to rugby practice, on holidays and to school. Sitting in the back ferried around by Mum and Dad.
Not many are left on the road nowadays. And they are rapidly growing in value and desirability.
For sale is this totally original Saddle Tan metallic VB SL Commodore running the original matching numbers red 253 V8 and 3 speed Trimatic automatic gearbox. This is a good original car that has survived in unmodified condition with good condition paint, mint trim, factory wheels and good chrome.
Of course there are a few paint blemishes and minor rust as can be identified in the photos. But the Buckskin Cord Cloth trim including the door cards are in excellent condition with no cigarette burns or wear marks. The original carpet is in good condition with slight wear to the front footwells on driver and passenger sides and the SL is showing an original 214,873 klms and comes with a VB Commodore Owners Manual. This is a good genuine driver that can be enjoyed as is or an easy project to further improve the car with very little effort required.
Featuring the normal SL luxuries of the day including vertical accent bars on the grill, silver tail panel, bright door mouldings, plush interior trim and carpet, rosewood dash finish, extra gauges, twin exterior mirrors, chrome wheel trim rings, variable intermittent speed wipers, rear centre armrest and inertia reel seatbelts for the outer rear passengers. This SL was optioned with power steering, Air conditioning and AM radio. All are still in their place.
This is a great entry level classic Aussie cruiser to escape back to the 80s, the perfect car for club registration or an easy project.

Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
