You are looking at a very special XC Falcon Cobra. The ULTIMATE SURVIVOR! A day one showroom example with a documented 16,462km from new. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

Impossible to find, this XC Falcon Cobra takes survivor status to another whole level. Rarely do you come across cars of this calibre. XC Falcon Cobra #322 presents an unique opportunity for the Ford collector or Cobra enthusiast so secure what we believe is the best XC Falcon Cobra in existence.

As you will see from the photo gallery, Cobra #322 is presented as it rolled out of Sleeman Ford's dealership in Coburg, Victoria on the 26th of September, 1978. As a reference car, this would certainly take the cake. The Cobra is finished in original factory Sno White and Bold Blue Stripes with majority original paint. All glass, chrome, stainless and striping are all day one and in perfect condition. And the matching numbers 302 V8 and 3 speed automatic gearbox are unmodified and in superb maintained condition.

On the inside, the seats are still covered in the original unmarked unique Option 96 seat covers and the original carpet is still as new and soft and plush. The door trims are still soft to the touch as is the crash pad and all instruments feature their original bright red speed and tacho needles with perfect chrome surrounds. The texture on the steering wheel and the centre boss are as new. The original factory AM radio is still in place as is the Clarion cassette player to the right of the steering column. Even the clock is still ticking.

Open the bonnet and everything is day one. It's as if this car has been stored in a hermetically sealed environment because none of the original factory hoses have perished. The carburettor is day one with carby tag. The rocker covers, air cleaner, brake master, radiator, battery terminals, horn are all day one too. Even the dealer serial number is printed in texta on the underside of the bonnet and referred to in the dealership documentation folder provided to the original owner on collection. Of course the radiator support factory production line build plate is still in its place and the compliance plates have never been removed from the vehicle.

Remarkably, the Cobra is still riding on the original Dunlop Aquajet SP Sport tyres from day one and unbelievably they look to be in exceptional condition with nil cracks or damage. In the boot you will find the original still soft and supple Ford provided rubber boot mat, the original unused Aquajet spare tyre mounted to the original Globe alloy wheel. Even the original tools in their immaculate bag are still in their place as is the working boot light. The Cobra was fitted with a remote boot release by the dealership.

Cobra #322 comes complete with the original purchase invoice from Sleeman's Ford, the Production Broadcast Sheet, the owners manual/log books plus a mileage log documenting every trip from September 1978. In September 1994 the Cobra was sold to the second owner with 10,059 Kilometres on the clock. The Cobra then changed hands in 1994 and was retained until 2001. When sold it had 11,300 Kilometres on the clock. The fourth owner purchased the Cobra in 2012 with 14,021 Kilometres on the clock. He is the current lucky custodian.  The XC Cobra still retains the original Victorian number plates with the Sleeman Ford number plate frames plus a still good can of Sno White touch up paint.

According to Ford documentation, XC Falcon Cobra #322 is one of 370 Cobras known as option 96 spec. It was built as one of the regular road-going versions, one of 200 XC Cobras built with the 302 Cleveland V8, one of 100 with the T-bar C4 automatic gearbox and one of 60 featuring power steering, factory integrated air conditioning, dual exhausts and 4 wheel disc brakes.

There are not too many cars that stand out in the crowd as much as an XC Cobra. These cars have achieved legend status helped along by the famous 1-2 Moffat/Bond finish at Bathurst.

And we doubt there is another example of the Falcon XC Cobra that can claim this level of survivor status as Cobra #322.

Come and cast your eyes over this mouth watering beauty.
