It doesn't get better than this awesome Street/Strip Torana build. Running a 650hp 434ci Pavtek small block 4 bolt Dart block with spectacular PPG Grigio Silverstone paint and a custom Dark Red Nappa leather interior with a custom paddle shifter controlling the 2 speed Powerglide, this fully engineered and blue plated masterwork is now for sale from Melbourne, Victoria.

As featured in the January, 2022 issue of STREET MACHINE Magazine and a Street Elite entrant at MotorEx 2022, this no expense spared build is the brainchild of a very experienced owner/builder and an impressive group of renowned craftsmens.

And the result is simply mind blowing.

The Torana is finished in DELTRON BASECOAT PPG Grigio Silverstone by Truckshine Melbourne. The full shell body restoration includes mini tubs and smoothed out engine bay, complete underside detail including wheel arches, detail to panel gaps and exterior lines. The build includes tucked bumpers, a reverse cowl with custom chequered flag air brush on the sides, stretched front guards and new glass and external trims.

The interior is full custom with bolstered seats front and rear to match rear tubs, using Dark Red Napa leather including fully trimmed boot upholstery to match the inside design pattern. The dash features Autometer gauges, a custom one piece dash, Brock tribute air brush dash panel, a fibreglass flat-panelled floor, custom console, door trims, electric windows, Billet buttons and panels, Billet Specialties steering wheel with matching leather adapted to the standard Holden column with custom paddle shift setup from Powertrain Control solution USA to drive the old school 2 speed power glide.

Power comes from a Dart 434ci Chevy small-block by Pavtek and Initial D Racing. Mechanically the Torana features a Tremaniac Racing billet NXTGEN intake, Plazmaman 105mm throttle body, FuelTech FT550 ECU, DRP alloy heads, custom-ground hydraulic-roller cam, Scat H-beam rods, JE custom forged pistons, Scat forged 4340 steel crank, High-volume oil pump, Hi Energy sump, 550cc injectors, Holley EFI pump, MSD 12 magnet crank & cam sensors, 8 x FuelTech IGN1A coils, MSD leads, custom RACE Radiators two-core alloy radiator, Spal dual fans with Billet water cans, custom 2" primary extractors thru to 3" cross flow exhaust, Magnaflow mufflers and electric exhaust cut outs, v-bands and black ceramic coated front to back by Boosted Fabrications. There is a custom 75 Litre low-profile Aluminium EFI drop-tank from Bain Racing and lots of Billet componentry including one piece rocker covers, bonnet latch/catch, hinges etc. by OC Billet.

The gearbox is a fully manualised Powerglide built to a 1000HP, with a TCE 8.5in 4000rpm stall, Full Flight Engineering 9inch with 31-spline axles, Trutrac centre, Strange Engineering double-ribbed cage housing and 3.9 Richmond gears. Super cool PCS paddle shifter has been set-up and works on an electronic control box hidden under the seat, which operates the cable connected to the side of the gearbox.

Suspension is Viking coil-overs on the front and Viking coil-overs, four-link on the rear. Braking is Wilwood disc brakes front and rear with a Wilwood master cylinder.

The Torana is running on genuine original Centerline Auto Dragway wheels 15x3.5 on the front and 15x10 on the rear with Nankang 165/R15 on the front and Mickey Thompson Sportsman 26/12R15 on the rear.

This 7 year Torana build has been documented with a huge photo file. The Torana is in absolutely show condition ceramic coated and with a fully detailed undercarriage. The car is towed to all car shows and otherwise stored in a 6 car basement secure garage with RaceDeck aerated garage flooring.

Impossible to replicate for double the asking price, this Torana is a magnificent expression of old school cool. With quality workmanship second to none, engineered and blue plated for either full or club registration, this Torana is the perfect street/strip or show machine.
