The famous LX Torana A9X in stunning Atlantis Blue/Slate Black trim combo. Build number 371 is one of the last of the 405 A9X sedans and hatchbacks produced by GMH and one of the much desired 2nd production run featuring the wider flares and 3:08 diff. Located in our Sydney Showroom.

The A9X now legendary among Holden fans and a terrific piece of Aussie engineering. In race form, this nimble little warrior wiped the smiles off Ford fans’ faces at Bathurst on numerous occasions. A9X build number 371 is one of only 6 Atlantis Blue sedans built. Originally sold through Scotty Taylor Holden, Hume Highway, Wodonga this was the only A9X sold through Scotty Taylor's dealership. Taylor raced an A9X Hatchback (race number 13) with his mate Kevin Kennedy at Bathurst in 1978, returning in 1979 as car number 15.

The car was retailed to the first owner in Tasmania, then moving to Shepperton and subsequently purchased by the current Torana enthusiast in 2016. The car was repainted in acrylic in 2002 and still features the original black golf ball trim. Sold previously by AMCS, the car was showing 193,000 Klm in around 2005 and currently shows a genuine 199,857 kilometres from new.

This is an accident and rust free example of the A9X. The car was repainted on the outside and in the engine bay with door jambs and boot featuring original paint. The original matching numbers engine was freshened at the same time. The engine still features the original Rochester carburettor and intake manifold, now with extractors and 2" dual exhaust system. The M21 4 speed manual gearbox and Salisbury diff are also original and in excellent condition.

This is a very correct and original car with all engine bay stickers and the brake cooling ducts still in place. The single thermostatic electric fan and coolant recovery system, heavy duty radiator are also still in place. The interior is all original in Slate Black except for a retrim to the two front seats and new carpets. All gauges work and the dash fascia and steering wheel are original. Even the heater works. The A9X's glove box lid also features the signatures of Bob Morris and Bev Brock when the car appeared at Toranafest in Canberra in 2016.

The A9X is fitted with standard genuine impossible to find A9X rims with new BF Goodrich tyres. The spare is also a genuine A9X rim.

All the chrome is original and all glass is original except for the front windscreen.

This is perhaps the pinnacle of Holden performance, representing the birth of HDT and later HSV. It is a car solidly etched into our motor racing history. A rich history of Brock and Firth, Richards, Harvey, Grice, Morris, Perkins ... the names synonymous with victory spelt simply in the name - Torana. These cars are legendary on and off the race track and a sure fire investment in solid gold Holden muscle.

A well known A9X and a member of the A9X club of NSW for decades, this is a must see A9X Torana.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
