1977 Holden LX Torana A9X Hatchback Tribute - Supermint Metallic

FOR SALE is a Brand new restored LX Torana A9X Hatchback tribute featured in Supermint metallic with Black Golf Ball trim. Running a mild 308ci V8 engine & 4 spd M21 gearbox, available for inspection from our Sydney Showroom.

Just completed a full rotisserie nut and bolt restoration with everything either new, reconditioned or replated. A stunning tribute to the ONE OF ONE A9X Hatchback finished in Supermint!

The exterior is show quality with a wide flare A9X body kit, SS badging, decals and a flawless Supermint metallic 2 Pac paint finish. The A9X blackouts are coated in satin clear and all chrome and stainless have been refurbished. A new 90 Litre aluminium polished drop tank with new metal fuel and return lines has been fitted.

A9X brake ducts have been installed, also new front and side glass with a good original rear Demister windscreen and new polished mouldings.

The underneath and engine bay are fully detailed back to the original specifications and hundreds of hours of labour have created an outcome that is close to the original factory finish. The mechanicals are fully rebuilt with a virgin bore 308 V8 with mild cam, MSD ignition, headers, a factory L31 inlet manifold and rebuilt Rochester 4-barrel carburettor. Gears are swapped via a reconditioned M21 with the full WB cable clutch modification, a new heavy duty clutch & flywheel with the factory V8 tail shaft and diff reconditioned. The wiring looms are new, along with the alternator, battery, battery cables and starter motor.

The interior is all new with refurbished plastics, GM seatbelts, an original factory wide mouth console, genuine GTS steering wheel, yellow needle dash, new hood lining, vinyls, kick boards, scuff plates, carpets, seals, door trims, handles and winders have been fitted. And the boot space has the factory boot boards and a stock boot carpet.

Braking is via an A9X front brake set up, reconditioned double diaphragm booster, new master cylinder, rebuilt aluminium Girlock brakes with new pads, hoses and lines. The Torana is also fitted with new rear brakes, tailshaft uni’s , diff seal, water pump, oil pump and fuel pump & copper and brass 4 core radiator.

The Torana is riding on lowered King Springs, Adjustable Koni Shocks front and rear, fully rebuilt K-Frame and steering rack. Fitted with a twin 2.5” polished stainless steel exhaust with X-pipe and 3” pea shooter tailpipes.

This Torana comes with two sets of wheels! A newly refurbished GTS wheels on 225/70R14 BF Goodrich tyres all round and a set of Hotwires with Nankang 245/45R17 on the front and 275/40R17 rubber on the rear with painted red-walls. There is also a standard steel spare wheel, jack and tools.

It’s the closest thing you’ll get to a brand new LX Torana Hatchback,This is certainly a rare and highly desirable Torana that you will be very proud to own and is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
