1977 LX A9X Torana
This A9X is a cracker! Genuine UNRESTORED A9X Torana in the stunning Flamenco Red / Slate Black trim combo. A9X build number 338 of the 405 produced is one of the much desired 2nd production run featuring the wider flares and 3:08 diff. And to top it all off this is a fully documented A9X with the Holden Dealer folder, original log books with full service history, owners manuals and 96,961 genuine klms from new. The car even has its original S.A. number plates.
The engine was recently overhauled at 94,500 klms with the heads rebuilt for unleaded, the original master cylinder overhauled, a new clutch fitted and all fluids replaced. New headers and exhaust were also fitted but the car comes with the original exhaust manifiolds. The mechanical freshen up comes with all receipts and build photos. This is a very correct and original car with all engine bay stickers and the fibreglass brake cooling ducts still in place.
The original Slate Black trim is in amazing condition. The original loop pile carpet is still in place and the dash is in perfect condition. The original A9X rims are gone but the car is riding on a set of period Hotwire rims with Aunger centre caps (14"x8" fronts and 14"x9" rears), Rare Breed tyres with 98% tread (fronts 245x50, rears 265x50). Gearbox, differential, brakes and front end have all been serviced. These parts were all the original factory components that were originally fitted to this car, not changeover parts.
This is a well known A9X, an A9X club car and comes with A9X Club verification. This is perhaps the pinnacle of Holden performance, representing the birth of HDT and later HSV. It is a car solidly etched into our motor racing history. A rich history of Brock and Firth, Richards, Harvey, Grice, Morris ... the names synonymous with victory spelt simply in the name - Torana. Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
