1976 LX Torana SS Hatchback
Very nice original LX SS Hatchback, in its original factory colour of Paypaya with Sienna Brown interior. A genuine 202 6 cyl 4 speed manual car, now running a 5 litre V8. This is an early 1976 build with blacked out engine bay and a desirable pre-emission car allowing easy engine upgrades.
Now running a period correct QT stamped Holden 308 V8, with rebuilt M21 4 speed manual including new cluster, new clutch and refurbished 3.08:1 banjo diff.
The 308 has been refreshed with excellent compression, a mild hydraulic cam, factory Holden intake and running a refurbed Quadrajet 4 barrel. Running standard Holden exhaust manifolds through to a new 2 inch dual system with 1 7/8 tailpipes. Temp is no problem with a new 3 core radiator.
All new or refurbished brakes including calipers, discs, pads and master cylinder. New shocks and front end bushes.
Owned by current owner for 10 years and restored by him in 2016. An experienced Holden enthusiast he has sympathetically rebuilt the SS keeping repro parts to a minimum.
Body and paint are excellent. The body was stripped and floor pans, doors, sills, and battery tray were all perfect and rust free. There was some rust around rear glass which was carefully attended to. Body showed nil accidents.
The car still has its original dash pad, instruments, steering wheel, kick panels and headlining. Only the front seat facings and carpet are repro items. Original black plastic grill and SS badge have been kept unrestored.
Riding on refurbished Bathurst globes. The original front spoiler comes with the car. The original 202 motor is not included. Showing 178,000kms believed to be genuine. Located in Country Vic. (AMCS Ref. 5624)

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
