This genuine LX SS Torana Hatchback started life as a mild mannered 6 cylinder 4 speed manual Torana SS Hatch presented in Papaya with Slate Black vinyl and cloth insert seats. Now, 46 years down the track, this SS Tory has morphed into something quite spectacular. Nothing over the top, but just a very nice blend of Holden period originality and the very best bullet proof Aussie muscle running gear.
Running a COME Racing stroker 383 Cui V8 with roller rockers, Hi-Winder Redline alloy performance manifold, Holley carby, Pacemaker extractors and MSD ignition delivering a very drivable 450Hp and mated to a Tremec 5 speed gearbox and Ford LSD 9" rear end, this is a superbly sorted Torana. All suspension is rebushed, with new springs and the brakes have been rebuilt with Torana disc brakes on the front and Ford drums on the rear. The SS has been well maintained and used sparingly by the current owner of the past 10 years. The owner estimates less than 1,000 klms covered in the past ten years.
The SS is painted in 2 Pac and is in unmarked condition with those fabulous A9X style flares bolted to the body, the functioning bonnet scoop feeding cold air to the carby and the sexy duck tail spoiler sitting pretty at the rear. Bumpers are colour coded and the whole package just looks terrific.
The SS has covered a genuine 281,210 Klms and the interior has been re-trimmed approximately 10 years ago in OEM correct Slate Vinyl with Herringbone Cloth trim. The dash features the original SS Torana ashtray, all working gauges, original SS steering wheel and features the original factory fitted working AM radio.
The car is sold with a huge receipt file for all the restoration work completed by the current long term owner.
Riding on widened GTS rims with BF Goodrich 195x60xR15 on the front and BF Goodrich 275x50xR15 on the rear.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
