Meticulously restored One-of-One XB GT Falcon Hardtop in Apollo Blue with Parchment trim running the all matching numbers 351 Cleveland and T-Bar auto. For sale from North Western Sydney.

Purchased in 2020 from country WA, the GT had been with the one family since new. The GT was driven for 3 or 4 years and then handed down to the original owners young son who repainted the GT in Black and Gold with matching interior treatment. A truck driver by profession, he seldom drove the car and it eventually ended up being stored in their huge shed for many years. Advertised for sale on eBay, the current owner purchased the GT and was amazed to find that although it had been customised by the owner the GT had traveled only 25,322 kilometres from new.

In good running order with nothing missing, the current owner wanted the GT to be restored to its original condition so took on the project of carefully putting the GT back to its day one specs. It was stripped to a bare shell, mounted onto a rotisserie and minor repairs were done in metal before the car was then professionally repainted in 2 pack Apollo Blue. This was to be a keeper and it was treated that way.

At the same time the matching numbers 351 2V Cleveland was sent to Hercules Performance Engines in Belmore, NSW. Ned, the proprietor was not keen to rebuild such a low mileage engine but being fastidious, the owner instructed a rebuild to factory specifications and to ensure that the car would be ultra reliable. The only changes to the mechanical specs was the addition of a Holley 750DP. The factory Air-conditioning is supplied but is not fitted to the car. The GT is fitted Perry extractors, factory manifold and electronic ignition. The original FMX gearbox, driveshaft and factory 9" have all been reconditioned.

The interior has been fully retrimmed in factory Parchment by Cools Trimmers in Riverwood, NSW and the GT features new carpets, hood lining and door cards. Original to the GT are the seat belts and buckles, centre consul, original gauges, dash, switches, steering wheel and crash pad. The factory integrated Air-conditioning vents, heater/aircon box and dash controls are still in their place and the GT is fitted with a working factory AM Superfringe radio.

Presented for sale with a genuine 27,186 Kilometres on the clock, this GT is now proudly back to the way the Ford factory built the car in 1975 and the way it was delivered new by Westlands Autos in Kalgoorlie, WA. The GT comes with photos of the restoration with a receipt file and verification details according to the ACCHS report. The ACCHS report notes that this GT is one of 941 XB GT Falcon Hardtops built, one of 483 with automatic transmission, one of 43 in Apollo Blue, one of 8 with the same paint and trim combination and ONE-of-ONE with the same build specs and options fitted making this one rare bird indeed!

The underside of the car is detailed to show condition with correct stampings, paint markings and all nuts and bolts have been anodised. The car is riding on 4 genuine original XB 12 slots, widened to 8" on the rear with original skull caps with red wall tyres and there is an original spare, original tools, tool bag and new rubber boot matt. The GT Hardtop is fitted with an Aunger rear window louvre, genuine Ford mud flaps, bumper over riders and front spoiler.

The car comes with two sets of keys, an XB owners manual and the ACCHS Report.
