1974 Ford Falcon XB GT Sedan
Concours restored One-of-One XB GT Falcon in Emerald Fire with Chamois trim, now for sale in our Sydney Showroom.
Painstakingly restored by the current owner to the highest level over the past 15 years. It is rare to find such a high quality car meticulously restored without regard to cost or time.
Purchased by the current owner in 2008, the car had been in storage from the late 1990s and was in good original condition with nothing missing from day one. The current owner then took on the project of restoring the GT back to showroom condition. It was stripped to a bare shell, mounted onto a rotisserie and all repairs were done in metal before the car was then professionally repainted in 2 pack Emerald Fire. The car was painted in two stages, carefully gapped and assembled with a huge amount of care. This was to be a keeper and treated that way.
At the same time the matching numbers 351 2V Cleveland was sent to Wilkins Performance Engines in Seven Hills, NSW and fully rebuilt with hydraulic cam, Yella Terra roller rockers, 302 rods, Hypertec pistons, 10.9:1 compression, Holley 750DP, Pacemaker extractors ceramic coated, Edelbrock Performer manifold, high volume sump, mild head porting and electronic ignition.
The car has been fitted with a 4 speed Top Loader gearbox (comes with the original FMX gearbox, driveshaft, shifter, selector, pedal etc.) through to the factory 9" with 3.5:1 gears. The car has been driven approximately 2,172 miles since the restoration was completed.
The interior has been fully retrimmed in factory Chamois by Muscle Car Trimmers of Queensland and the GT features new carpets, hood lining, door cards, restored seat belts and buckles, centre consul, gauges, dash, switches, steering wheel and crash pad.
At the time of the restoration the owner fitted integrated factory air conditioning which works perfectly. The car also has factory power steering. The owner has sourced a genuine factory radio/cassette player and this was also installed at the time of restoration with two speakers in the kick panels and a factory fader.
The GT comes with photos of the restoration with a receipt file, verification letter from Ford and an ACCHS report. The ACCHS report notes that this GT is one of 1,929 XB GT Falcons built, one of 85 in the Emerald Fire paint colour, one of only 20 with the same paint and trim combination and One-Of-One with the options selected. The car was originally sold through Thompson Ford, Parramatta, NSW.
The underside of the car is detailed to concourse show condition with all correct stampings, paint markings, correct shock absorber paint colouring and all nuts and bolts have been anodised. The car is riding on 4 genuine original XB 12 slots with original skull caps with red wall tyres and there is an original spare, original tools, tool bag and new rubber boot matt.
The car comes with the original air cleaner, two sets of keys and Thompson for Ford number plate frames. The GT is also fitted with factory bumper over riders and front spoiler.
The GT is a multiple trophy winner and these trophies will come with the car. The car has won the 2015 NSW Muscle Car Association Concourse Day Members Choice, 2017 1st Ford Restored class and 2019 2nd Ford Restored class.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
