The Ford XB GT received accolades for its state-of-the-art four-wheel disc brakes and headlight flasher feature. Wheels Magazine even claimed it possessed the finest braking system among vehicles manufactured in Australia, competing effectively with international models. The vehicle's robust suspension and well-balanced braking mechanisms allowed for rapid stops without wheel lock-up or fade, demonstrating remarkable stopping power and handling performance.

To enhance quality and reliability, Ford engineers implemented over 2,000 modifications to the XB GT Falcon, including a revamped friction disc collapsible steering column that mitigated shocks experienced by the driver. Additionally, participation in racing competitions such as the Bathurst 500 drove significant innovations like the adoption of four-wheel disc brakes.With its extensive heritage and ongoing enhancements, the XB GT Falcon is still highly coveted among collectors of Ford muscle cars. Presented in the factory color of Yellow Blaze with Black highlights, this XB GT features its original 351 2V Cleveland engine paired with an FMX transmission, complemented by a factory-installed 9" LSD. Initially used as a daily driver, the XB GT received a repaint and refurbishment of the engine bay in the early 2000s. Having spent some time in Central QLD & Adelaide SA during its lifespan, it was originally sold through Melford Motors located in Melbourne VIC.
