A very special RPO 83 Falcon GT. In immaculate condition. All matching numbers. Build sequence follows Fred Gibson's and Alan Moffat's race cars. Opportunity!
Specifications:
We all know there was only ever one true Phase IV GTHO - and none of us are ever going to get a chance to own it. But here?s an RPO83 that really does represent what a ?normal? Phase IV in basic form would have been had they ever reached production - and it came that way in 1973.
And it is not one of those race-modified ?72 XA GT?s that people like to call a Phase IV.
Genuine RPO83 with Ford Vehicle History Extract, Ford verification letter, previous owner correspondence, full photo history, written independent Valuations (old), written proof of relationship to actual race cars of 1973.
Original matching solid 4V engine, D1ZX rods, 4-bolt mains, 31-spline box, 31-spline nodular diff, Phase IV sump, clutch line, radiator, fan, carburettor, extractors, dual-point distributor, etc. 42-gallon race tank (originally had large tank, but went ?missing?). Also had roll-cage, but owner elected to not put it in during restoration.
XA GT Serial No. 13741K - Fred Gibson. Works race car. Lost in action.
XA GT Serial No. 13742K - Alan Moffat. Works race car. Lost in action.
XA GT Serial No. 13743K - This car. Privately owned. Still alive.
