In 1971 Ford had the Australian luxury car market sewn up with the full sized ZD Fairlane 500. Big on the outside and roomy on the inside. Powered by the trusty 302 Windsor V8 with column cruisomatic this was a big car, perfect for the big family as a cruiser in the days when a family holiday meant squeezing all the kids into the back seat, packing the huge boot with all the gear and heading to the beach, the bay or to the snow for the school holidays. Not flying overseas like we're all doing nowadays.
For sale is this stunning totally original Track Red with Saddle trim 1971 ZD Fairlane. This is as original as they come. Mostly original paint with original trim. Only 85,954 miles on the odometer. And all in excellent condition for a car that's nearly 50 years old. The matching numbers 302 is still purring away under that big bonnet. The factory optioned integrated Air Conditioning is still in place and ready to cool you down. The car has factory power steering, and the factory Superfringe radio is there to entertain. Even the original boot mat is still there.
Mechanically the car runs beautifully. The suspension has been re bushed and the brakes serviced. So she's ready to hit the highways and the byways immediately. Period accessories have survived with left and right side weather shields. Even an Air Conditioning service sticker in the glove box has survived since 1974. And the hubcaps, white wall tyres, chrome and glass are all in top condition, a further testament to how well looked after this Fairlane is. Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
