1971 Ford XY GS Falcon Utility 351 K-Code - Track Red ... (SOLD)

Rarer than an XY Falcon GTHO Phase 3, this genuine matching numbers K code 351 Cleveland XY GS Falcon Ute in Track Red is presented for sale from our Sydney Showroom.

Not too many customers walked into their Ford dealer in 1971 and ordered a 351 V8 powered manual Falcon GS Utility workhorse. In fact, you are looking at one of only 132 XY GS Falcon Utes built with the magic combo of 351 Cleveland V8 and 4 speed manual gearbox.

This was at the time the most powerful and best dressed Ute Ford produced and this Track Red example certainly ticks all the boxes.

Restored some years ago, this matching numbers heavily optioned Falcon GS Ute has been further enhanced with many GT parts including a genuine metal shaker, GT strutted bonnet, GT striping and blackouts, dual sports mirrors, chrome rear bumper and 5 slot GT rims with red wall tyres. In the engine bay, the Ute features the original matching numbers 351 Cleveland with 2V heads, GTHO vacuum tank, HO alternator, ICE ignition, Holley carby, twin thermo fans and working under dash Air conditioning.

The interior has been retrimmed in B2 Black GT trim with cloth inserts and features a full GT/GS dash, original working rim blow steering wheel with GT centre emblem, GTHO sticker on the glove compartment and GT door cards.

Gears are swapped via the rebuilt factory Top loader then through to a standard tail shaft and 9" LSD rear.

Optioned from factory with twin fuel filler necks with new fuel tanks under the tray this Ute was set up for long distance hauling back in the day. Showing 133,440 miles with no rust or damage present and fitted with an excellent tonneau cover. The Ute comes with 2 sets of keys and a Ford verification letter.

Riding on 14" 5 slot rims with near new red walled Comforser 205/70R14 all round. Also included is a set of four widened 5 slot rims with caps and dress rims on good Bridgestone Turanza 225/60R15 tyres.

This XY GS drives beautifully is super reliable with effortless power and no rattles or squeaks. Ford verification for all options fitted.

A rare find that can be enjoyed as is or returned to factory GS spec without a lot of work if required.
