1969 VF Valiant Regal 318 V8

$SOLD

After a mint condition classic with wolf in sheep's clothing power under your right foot? Then you'll love this Valiant!

Owned by a well respected engine builder in Sydney, this 1969 Chrysler Valiant VF-770 Regal in Turbine Bronze runs the matching numbers factory 318 Fireball engine mated with the 904 transmission and 3.23 LSD Borg Warner differential.

The engine has been rebuilt 4 years ago including heavily modifying the small 318 factory heads. A very mild hydraulic camshaft and lifter package has been fitted as well as an upgraded dual plane intake manifold and 650 carburettor. Compression is 10.5 and has Pacemaker 15/8" headers with 2 1/4" exhaust and mufflers with hidden tailpipes to breath. Other upgrades are a Bosch electronic ignition, Bosch alternator, gear reduction starter motor and upgraded 4 core copper radiator.

The transmission was also fully rebuild by Protrans and had various upgraded parts installed including a fully manualised valve body that is factory forward pattern style and operational by the factory locking shifter. A separate transmission cooler is also fitted to the car.

The tail shaft was also reconditioned and balanced. As was the differential which was fully rebuilt, including bearing, seals and the LSD unit. The final drive ratio is 3.23.

This stunner runs factory front disc brakes.

The exterior was repainted some 10 years ago. The body is in beautiful straight condition and the paint is superb. All chrome is original and in very nice condition.

The interior retains the factory 52 year old buffalo trim seats, console, crash pad, door trims and carpet. Tan carpet mats and rear seat belts are fitted plus genuine Chrysler front rubber mats. And security you ask ... the gear lever lock installed by the factory when new is still operational and the original sticker on warning sticker is still on the driver's quarter glass.

Original jacking equipment present with Chrysler boot mat.

All original parts for the engine and transmission are supplied with the car so if you wanted to revert to factory specs you can do so. Included is the original 2 barrel intake manifold, carburettor, and air cleaner assembly as well as the factory valve body and linkage setup included. The Regal comes with a Chrysler sales brochure, owners manual, last full VIC registration sticker from 2001 and two sets of original keys.

The car as it stands has produced around 250HP at the wheels, despite the figure it has reeled off a best of 12.6 @ 108...mph ( refer to time card pics) at Eastern Creek on the 205/70/14 tyres it retains currently.
