1968 Chevrolet SS Camaro 396 Big Block
The Chevy Camaro had something for everyone. It was as tough as a Chevy pickup truck, appealing to the younger hip generation but also to Marlboro men, suburban soccer mums and—with the 1968 Camaro SS, Z/28 and the legendary COPOs—to hardcore drag racers or road racers. And boy did the sales results reflect this success with 235,147 '68 Camaros rolling off the production lines.
This factory V8 SS Camaro running a 396 ci Big Block V8 bored to 402 ci is accompanied with a Sniper 4 barrel EFI carby, Edelbrock heads, Holley Manifold, MSD ignition and PWR alloy radiator with twin Thermo fans. The Camaro is fitted with a rebuilt manualised Turbo 350 automatic gearbox and an easy cruise 10 bolt LSD rear. The Camaro is fitted with a 21/2" exhaust with extractors
Suspension is modified by Ridetech with Tubular upper and lower control arms, adjustable coil overs on the front and a 4 link setup with adjustable coil overs at the rear. The SS is fitted with power steering.
Brakes are Hopper Stoppers BA Falcon 300mm disks on the front and Corvette disks at the rear with a Willwood 1-1/8" master cylinder with Hydratech brake booster.
The interior is in excellent condition with Houndstooth cloth inserts, an aftermarket Autometer dash and Pioneer head unit, SS steering wheel and the signature Horse Shoe gear lever shifter. Wiring is all new from American Autowire Classics.
Supplied with all import documentation and a huge receipt file.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
