The VC Valiant that hit Australian showrooms in 1966 was a huge restyle versus the superseded AP6. Along with the new shape came new safety items including windscreen washers and two-speed wipers, front seat-belt mounts and reversing lights. The Regal added 25 per cent to the price of a basic VC and the extra money included Chrysler’s three-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission as standard. Also in the mix was a heater/demister with blower fan, satin-trimmed dash and courtesy lights including one in the boot. The VC V8 came with a mandatory vinyl-covered roof, separate non-reclining seats, centre console and massive, chromed shift lever for the automatic. More than 65,000 VCs were built with less than five per cent equipped with the V8 engine. For sale is this rare 1966 VC Valiant 273 V8 sedan with 3 speed Torqueflite transmission in factory Bahama Blue. In stock standard condition other than the non original period mag wheels, the VC has been tastefully restored with excellent paint and a retrim to the seats plus new carpet. The car presents in good mechanical condition with a recent brake system rebuild. This is a very nice usable classic Mopar perfect for weekend cruising. In our Mortdale, Sydney showroom.
