Sydney Mopar Rumble 2011 !!!!!
To see dozens of gorgeous Mopars gathered for a cruise , show and shine and some very angry drag racing...was nothing short of AWESOME!! Each November the Chrysler mob put on an excellent weekend of fun...Enjoy the pics and make sure you join them next year...!!!
This year’s Mopar Rumble started with a meet n greet at the Museum of Fire in Penrith. A gold coin donation got you into the grounds which are well suited for displaying cars. Sausage sizzle and drinks, and it wasn’t long before they were completely sold out of food. At around 4.00pm, the 80 or so Mopars that had gathered at the Museum headed down to Harry’s Cafe De Wheels for the cruising leg of the weekend. It sure was a great sight with over 60 Mopars all parked up together. It wasn’t long before they were joined by the other makes as Harry’s is always a popular Saturday night cruise destination, particularly when the weather is as good as it was. A raffle to raise funds for the RSPCA was held, and the punters stayed and chatted late into the night.
Sunday morning started bright and early at Sydney Dragway for the main event of the Rumble. Drag racing, show n shine (including pro judging), a dyno comp, burnouts, trophies, trade stands and much more meant it was going to be an action packed day. The weather was great, and that reflected on the turnout with around 200 cars entering the event, and many of those heading down the quarter mile for a blast. The kids were kept entertained with a jumping castle and face painting. The photos can tell the story, but all in all, Mopar Rumble 2011 was a huge success, and the team from the Regals Mopar Car Club are already planning next year’s Rumble.
