How good is this? Driving instructor and racing driver Richard Fricker send through details of his fire breathing SS Hatchback. Running a new 6 Litre Chev, making 550hp, Richard has raced this car at the Festival of Sportscars during Easter 2009 at Bathurst. He has also recently set a new lap record in the Radical SR3 at Oran Park.

Richard tells us the SS has the following mods:

"Modifications to the 6L are bigger cam, L7 heads and stainless-steel collets and guides and 48IDF downdraught Webers. Race clutch and TKO600 gearbox with short-shift. 315 Tru-Track diff. Brakes are K-Sport race brakes, 8-piston front, 6-piston rear with 330mm race discs. Wheels and tyres are 18x10" - 265/40R18 all round.

Cams approved rollcage, race seat and harness, 120L Brown-Davis Bathurst race tank with 2L swirl pot.

All modifications have been fully engineered and certified, with certificates.

All this and it's still street registered - number plate A9X-077."
